Two-day ticket packs for Winterfest 2015, the Minnesota Brewers’ Guild’s annual winter celebration on Minnesota beer at St. Paul’s Union Depot, went on sale today at 12 p.m. Each pack is $135, plus a $12 service fee for online transactions, and includes admission for a single individual on both Winterfest days – February 27 and 28. Two-day packs will be available through Ticket Tempo until Winterfest tickets sell out.

What do you get for the price of admission? Glad you asked. Admission to Winterfest 2015 includes:

  • Unlimited beer sampling from any and all participating MN Brewers’ Guild members. Guests of note include Barley John’s Brewpub, Bent Paddle Brewing Co. and Surly Brewing Co., plus Fitger’s Brewhouse, Dangerous Man, Summit, Badger Hill, Castle Danger, Fair State, Insight, Tin Whiskers, Bauhaus, Brau Brothers, Flat Earth, Fulton, Northgate and Urban Growler. (And, like, four dozen others.)
  • Catered dinner – the menu isn’t available yet, but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be awesome
  • Educational programming, including seminars on hop varieties, “getting the most out of each beer” with Michael Agnew (A Perfect Pint) and Rob Shellman (Better Beer Society), “choosing the right beer for the right situation” with Michael Wagner, and local and national breweriana with Doug Hoverson
  • To-be-announced musical entertainment

If you’re not game for both Winterfest days, you have to wait until Friday, January 16, at 12 p.m., to secure your spot at this year’s festival. At that time, you can purchase single-day admission tickets for the day of your choice. Single-day tickets cost $75, plus the processing fee, and come with all the perks of two-day admission.

Note that the single-day tickets are the Guild’s lowest-priority admission passes – nothing personal, single-day fans – and will be sold as available. So if things get crazy and the two-day packs sell out before the 16th, well, don’t say we didn’t warn you. All the more reason to get in on the ground floor with a two-day pass. Unless you’re sitting on the beach somewhere, we can’t think of a better place to be on the last weekend of February.
