Third Street Brewhouse has a new spring seasonal!
This new seasonal is called Spotlight IPA and comes with a strong hop character and balanced malt foundation. But what makes this brew claim the “spotlight” among other IPAs? After the Third Street brewers collaborated on a new recipe they used a special technique called mash hopping, which introduces a clean bitterness not typically found.
“We are really excited about this beer because it will change year to year by incorporating new or unique ingredients that are available, but it will always stay true to the full hop character.” said Third Street’s PR/Marketing Coordinator, Krista Amundson.
Citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit shine out of this deep golden IPA and pair best with bold and spicy foods such as curry or buffalo wings. There is a strong 7.3% ABV but the smoothness of Maris Otter and Carapils malts brings the International Bitter Unit down to a nice 60.
Spotlight IPA will hit the streets on Monday, March 31st in 6 and 12 packs. Get your first pint at the release party on the 31st at 5:00pm at Highland Grill, Groveland Tap, Edina Grill, The Lowry, 3 Squares, or Longfellow Grill. For more information, see our Events Calendar.
