With over 150 breweries now pouring their beer in Minnesota, there’s always something new to try. To keep you up-to-date, we present The Mash-Up—our weekly rundown of new beers and seasonal releases in Minnesota from your favorite local and national breweries. Visit every Friday for the latest or sign up for a weekly email.

The celebrations are plentiful this weekend. There are big events taking place at Fair State, Pryes, and LTS, for starters, and breweries across the state, from Brainerd to White Bear Lake and Big Lake, have brewed special beers to celebrate their communities. For those sticking closer to home for Father’s Day, many establishments are offering specials and discounts. Modist has a special double IPA with a touching backstory, and Bent will unleash a cellared keg of Dark Fatha.

These are just a few of the many new releases this week, listed in further detail below.

Each week, The Growler’s editorial team highlights five of the most tantalizing new beers hitting taps and store shelves that we’re most excited to try.

HammerHeart Dunkelwald

HammerHeart’s smoked dunkelweizen, Dunkelwald, became available June 13 at their Lino Lakes taproom and in bottles, clocking in at 7.2% ABV.

HeadFlyer Beyond the Door

The latest in this series from HeadFlyer is a lemon and lime kettle sour, with fresh lime zest and a light hopping of Lemondrop. “This is one tart mother-shut yo mouth,” HeadFlyer says.

Available June 16.

Wild Mind Foeder Blend #1

“We pulled golden sour beer from three of our Italian oak foeders and blended them all together creating a light, crisp, complicated and refreshing sour,” Wild Mind explains. A lightly tart, funky farmhouse ale, this 6.1% ABV sour is only available on draft.

Badger Hill There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand

There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand, an “Arrested Development”-inspired seasonally released hefeweizen, is back at the Shakopee brewery. The hefe is on tap and available in growlers and, this year, the brewery brewed a bigger batch, so expect the beer through the month of June.
