In food meets beer meets music news, Sociable Cider Werks announced yesterday a Northeast Brewers’ Block Party to be held outside their cidery at 1500 Fillmore St. NE.

The free event will happen Sunday, July 27th from 2pm-9pm, and will feature entertainment by Enemy Planes, Whiskey Jeff and The Beer Back Band, Ft. Wilson Riot, Bernie King and the Guilty Pleasures, Black Diet, RP Hooks, and Bomba de Luz.

Food trucks slated to sling at the block party include Anchor Fish and Chips, Gastrotruck and Simply Steve’s. And just in case you’re one of those people who enjoy a nice beverage at your outdoor music fest, Indeed, Fulton, 612Brew, Northgate, Bent Brewstillery, Barley John’s, Fair State and Sociable Cider will have you covered.

Eureka Recycling, a local nonprofit waste-reduction organization, is also on board in the hopes of making this a zero-waste affair. The event is sponsored by Sociable, along with Red Stag Supperclub and Norseman Distillery.

The event’s Facebook page has already garnered nearly 1,500 RSVPs in the first day (who knew beer was such a big draw in that part of town?) so it’s a good thing Sociable has such a massive parking lot.
