Tuesday’s events for 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer

May 9-15 is 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer, a week of special events and tappings that celebrate the state’s growing craft beer scene. Below is a list of events registered with the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild for Tuesday, May 10. Check back each day this week for more events happening near you.

Twin Cities

612Brew Find the Brewer Night, 5–8pm – Find Randy, Beats, Robert, or Austin at a bar in Northeast Minneapolis and post a picture of them, tagging 612Brew, for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the brewery.

Acadia Cafe, Bauhaus Beer and Beast Pairings, 5–10 pm – Bauhaus and Acadia are teaming up to host a beer and meat pairing event. There will also be a Simcoe hop-infused cask of Uber Duber. More info.

Big Wood Brewery, 4-Square Tournament, 5–7 pm – Channel your inner elementary schooler and throw down in a 4-square tournament for a chance at a $50 Big Wood gift card. Plus, happy hour pricing from 4–6pm on Tree Chugger and free pizza (expected to go fast) arriving at 6pm.

ENKI Brewing, Infusion Release, 4pm – Today’s infusion is a cinnamon hard candy-infused version of ENKI’s Litmus Pilsner.

Half Time Rec, “Came in Like a Rec’ing Barrel” Russian Imperial Stout Tappings, 4pm – This is sure to be a popular event. Indeed Rum King, Lift Bridge Barrel-Aged Silhouette, and Surly 2015 Barrel-Aged Darkness will all be tapped at 4pm. More info.

LynLake Brewery, Casks and Cribbage Night, 5–11 pm – The first 16 players to register for the cribbage tournament will receive a free beer. Special casks will be tapped throughout the night as well. More info.

Maple Island Brewing, Patio Opener, May 10–14, noon–10 pm – Food trucks, live music, and new beers galore will be available at this Stillwater brewery. Their patio is dog-friendly.

myTalk 107.1 Beer, Wine, & Spirits Show with Steph March hosts Dustin Brau of Brau Bros. Brewing, 7–8pm – Tune into 107.1 to hear from Dustin Brau and learn about how Brau Brothers has grown over the years.

Northbound Smokehouse, Mega Infusion, 5pm – There will be three special infusions today, which have yet to be announced. Check Northbound’s Facebook page or just show up to find out what they are.

Pizza Luce Roseville, Bauhaus Block Party, 5–10pm – Pizza, Bauhaus beer, and games, plus the tapping of a special firkin.

Tin Whiskers, Off-Flavor Training Course, 7pm – This class will focus on nine of the most common off-flavors and how to prevent them in the future. Beer nerds rejoice! Tickets are $21.53 and can be purchased here.

Urban Growler, Agave Ale Release, 11am – Agave Ale will be the special release today at St. Paul’s Urban Growler. Head on over and give it a try.

Urban Growler, Meet the Brewer Tours, 5:30–7pm – Meet Urban Growler Master Brewer and Owner Deb Loch and take a brewery tour with her. Tours are free and run every half hour.

Varsity Theater, Surly Brewing Presents Amon Amarth, 7:30–midnight – Asator Viking IPA returns to coincide with this Amon Amarth show at The Varsity Theater. Grab your tickets to the show here.

Duluth & Northern Minnesota

Bemidji Brewing, Dames and Ales, 5:30–8 pm – A night of craft beer and camaraderie. This evening is focused on creating an inviting environment for women to explore beer. Guided tastings, door prizes, and appetizers will all be available. Grab your tickets at the brewery for $15.

Breeze Inn, Bent Paddle Beer Dinner, 6–9 pm – Five courses and five beers along with specialty pours. Call Kate at the Breeze Inn at (218) 525-2883 for tickets. More info.

Rochester & Southern Minnesota

Forager Brewing, Preserved Hibiscus Gose Release, 11am – Preserved Hibiscus Gose will be the special release of the day at Forager Brewing. This is a five-gallon keg and probably won’t last long.

Forager Brewing, Live Music and Books on Tap, 7–10pm – The music tonight will be Thomas and the Rain, an acoustic duo who are currently working on releasing a full album. Books on Tap is group that appreciates books, beer, and good conversation. Swing in to chat about your favorite new book and grab a beer while you’re at it.

Grand Rounds Brewpub, Limited Edition Infusions, 11am – Each day Grand Rounds will release an infused version of one of their beers. Yesterday it was mango-infused Hop Bollocks Session IPA and today’s infusion has yet to be announced. Check their Facebook page for more info.

Weeklong Events

Bemidji Craft Beer Tour, various locations, May 9–22, 11am–10pm each day – To participate, pick up a Bemidji Craft Beer Tour Card at Green Mill, Brigid’s Pub, or 4 Point Grille & Bar in Bemidji, drink a Bemidji Brewing Company beer while you’re at each establishment, and have them stamp your card. Bring a completed card into Bemidji Brewing’s taproom and receive a free pint.

Canal Park Brewery, MN Craft Beer Week, May 9–14 – Special cask releases and the chef’s burger of the week will be available, which will incorporate Canal Park beers.

Forager Brewery, Bike or Walk Program, May 9–14 – Bike or walk to the brewery and receive a free mini beer, cup of coffee, or soda when you show your server a selfie displayed on your Facebook page.
