Today, March 14, Red Stag Supperclub is hosting a happy hour event to raise funds for the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, the annual grassroots food and fund drive that provides more than half the food distributed by 300 food shelves throughout the state.
The happy hour will feature live music by local musicians DOSH, Al Church, and Meg Ashling, plus drink specials (from 4-7pm) from Indeed Brewing Company, Norseman Distillery, and Prairie Organic Spirits—half the proceeds from which will be donated to the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign.
“Every dollar we raise during the March Campaign goes to our partner food shelves to purchase food for the hungry,” said Suzanne Shatila, director of Minnesota FoodShare, on the event’s page.
Which basically means: the more you drink, they more food they donate.
Minnesota FoodShare, a program of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, coordinates Minnesota’s largest statewide food and fund drive—the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign—and works year-round to increase awareness of hunger, food and nutrition issues.
