For a style of beer that requires wild yeast and bacteria to flourish, it only seems fitting that Minnesota’s first sour-only brewery is coming together in a converted pole barn in northern Minnesota.
Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl at MSP Magazine is reporting that construction on Oude Oak’s brewery in Midway Township just south of Duluth will begin in spring of 2016, with beers expected to be released approximately six months after completion of the brewery, likely sometime in 2017. Eventually they hope to open a taproom in south Minneapolis.
