Fans didn’t know what to expect when they purchased their tickets to the first-ever Eaux Claires music festival. The music lineups hadn’t even been announced when people the two-day passes went on sale. All fans knew was Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Aaron Dessner of The National were curating their own music and arts festival in Vernon’s hometown, and people didn’t want to miss it.
What came about at the two-day festival at Foster Farms was a musical experience that few soon ever forget. Eaux Claires was lauded by fans and media alike, and those that attended were left hoping it wouldn’t be a one-time festival.
This morning, organizers announced they will indeed bring back the Eaux Claires music festival in 2016. In an e-mail to last year’s festival-goers, they stated that the festival will take place on August 12–13, 2016 at Fosters Farms in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and that tickets will go on sale tomorrow, October 22 at 10am CST.
The two ticket options from last year return as well: the two-day Eau Claire Pass for $125; and the limited two-day Chippewa Pass for $250 (which will include a specially prepared lunch and dinner both days, in addition to complimentary beer and wine).
No camping options will be available during the pre-sale, but early bird pass holders will receive guaranteed access to purchase campsites before the general on-sale in 2016.
All artist lineups will be announced in early 2016.
