The Brewers Association’s CraftBeer.com polls its readers annually in search of the best craft beer bars in America. The list is chock full of the usual suspects from around the country, like Des Moines, Iowa’s, el Bait Shop with their 222 tap lines, ChurchKey in Washington, D.C., and Eugene, Oregon’s, The Bier Stein, where you can choose from more than 1,000 packaged beers.
In Minnesota, St. Paul’s The Happy Gnome took home top honors last year and consistently dominates the “Best Craft Beer Bar” category our annual Kind-Of-A-Big-Deal Readers’ Choice Awards, but the Gnome was unseated in this year’s poll in favor of an unexpected champion: Mankato Brewery.
Here’s what CraftBeer.com included in their write-up: “Mankato Brewery started producing beers in 2012, and is proud to revive the brewing tradition in the Key City. Mankato Brewery is the first production brewery in the community since 1967. Focused on creating authentic beers that reflect the heritage of the region and its people, the crew at Mankato Brewery invites you to try their beer and to experience local flavor.”
Mankato is one of a handful of breweries to make the list, which was assembled via reader votes on CraftBeer.com between November and December 2016. Cheers to Mankato Brewery for being listed among this great group of watering holes. See the full below or click here for more.
