As we reach that time of year when we all get preoccupied with holiday parties, travel, and buying gifts, don’t overlook the importance of giving to nonprofits, schools, and thousands of causes across Minnesota.
GiveMN links donors with organizations to enable charitable giving throughout the year on its website, GiveMN.org. But starting back in 2009, GiveMN has hosted a 24-hour online fundraising campaign known as Give to the Max Day to supercharge these efforts and motivate potential donors to give to their favorite charities. Give to the Max Day was launched as a collaborative effort led by the Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations, which are committed to giving back to our state and its helpful hands. Throughout its homegrown time, the Give to the Max Day campaign has raised more than $150 million dollars, and that momentum continues today.
We at The Growler have had the pleasure of partnering with and telling the stories of a number of nonprofit organizations throughout our existence. Here’s a list of 20 nonprofits doing great work around the state to consider donating to.
