6.) Anti-Valentine’s Day Dinner
In Sweden, “fika” means a daily break typically involving coffee and snacks. However, fika has adopted a different meaning, one that signifies a break where friends gather to talk about life, current events, and their loser ex’s! So go to FIKA, the trendy cafe at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, for their first annual Anti-Valentine’s Day Dinner on Thursday February 13th. (The day before Valentine’s) FIKA’s Executive Chef Dustin Thompson and Matt Pollock from Indeed Brewing have developed four paired courses to mend your heart. Not over your ex yet? Bring their old mix tapes and love letters to the Community Burn Bin and enjoy the friendly camaraderie at FIKA. Tickets: $85 Individual. Call ASI at (612) 871-4907
